I am having a lot of fun during partnership! It has been a really great experience! I am learning so much and really getting a lot of teaching experience in the classroom! I am also seeing the hardships of teaching. I have been trying to help one student in my classroom since I have been there. He is so oblivious to what is going on around him. He cannot concentrate, he does not care at all about school, and he just has a hard time in the classroom. I try so hard to have patience with him because he has had a really hard life, but it is so hard for me to be patient when you can tell the student does not care about anything that you are trying to tell him. I have had some success with this student, he has improved in some areas like some of his organization has improved. I am just having a hard time keeping his attention not just during my lessons but during my cooperating teachers too. She does not always pay attention to him when he is off task. I try to help keep him on task but he needs to learn how to do that on his own. I really want to try and get his attention during my lesson. I am going to work really hard to make my lessons exciting for him so that he can stay on task and for once feel productive in the classroom!
